Laura Bhreathnach – Managing Director and Senior Physiotherapist

Laura Bhreathnach

Laura is the Principal Physiotherapist here at PREP Physiotherapy. She has a wealth of experience in private practice and sport in the UK and Ireland. Laura qualified with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2010 from the Robert Gordon University in Scotland. Laura then went on to complete an Advance Masters in Physiotherapy in UCD in 2020.

Since qualifying Laura completed 3 years of rotations within the NHS in Scotland. After leaving the NHS Laura worked extensively across a variety of elite sporting specialities in Scotland, ranging from Scottish Rugby, Scottish Golf and the Scottish Institute of Sport.

Since returning to Ireland Laura further developed her skills in sport working with Gaelic football, hurling and Irish touch rugby teams to name a few. Laura also continued her passion to work with Golfers in Ireland and has been teaching Pilates for Golfers across a variety of settings.

Laura always strives to deliver cutting edge treatments and up to date research to this end she completed a MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy and a Diploma in Spinal Studies in UCD in 2020. She completed her thesis on Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome and continues to carry out continued professional development. Laura also has trained in Acupuncture, McKenzie method, APPI Pilates to name a few.

Laura also worked as part of the spinal triage service in the Mater Private hospital with Mr Cawley as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Laura has a keen interest in treating complex biomechanical issues and motor control patterns involving the lower back, ground and lower limb. She believes in looking for a long-term solution to a problem rather than only treating your symptoms. Preventative rehabilitation is at the forefront of her clinical reasoning processes, adapting an in-depth holistic approach to treatment and rehabilitation. If you like a number so does Laura. She will put numbers on your strength markers and give you a clear objective goal to work towards.

Murillo Dalmazo – Sports Massage Therapist

Murillo is a qualified Orthopaedic & Sports Massage ITEC Level 3 & 4 Sports Massage Therapist. He is also trained in Vacuum Cupping, muscle scraping, andMurillo Kinesiology strapping.

Sport massage therapy is beneficial to treat

Murillo also works as a Personal Trainer with over 6 years’ experience. Through this he understand the demands on the muscle with exercise and understands what muscles need to be strong a flexible to move optimally to achieve whatever your goals are and be able to have an active lifestyle .

Murillo is aware of the stresses of modern-day life, and the aches and pains this may create and he enjoys helping individuals manage and overcome these through massage therapy.

In his spare time he keeps active, I he also participates in body building competitions, Martial arts such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and plays football in the Leinster Senior League. Being active means, he has first-hand experience of the benefits massage has for athletes of all abilities during both training and competition.

Morgan Sloggett – Senior Physiotherapist

Morgan physioMorgan Graduated from UCD with a BSc in Physiotherapy (BSc) in 2016. Since Qualifying he has gained a wide range of experience and has worked across a wide range of settings from the hospital to Sport.

Morgan has also travelled and worked as a physiotherapist in New Zealand and Australia. This gives him a wide range of experience of all aspects physio from across the globe.

Morgan is a certified 200hr Yoga Instructor and Mat Pilates Instructor. He has done additional training in manual therapy and even trained under the All Blacks in New Zealand, in sports massage. His manual therapy skill as a result are next to none. He is also proficient in Dry Needling.

Morgan has a special interest in sports injury rehab, rugby GAA and running injuries. Outside of work he likes to keep active and enjoys surfing and the gym. He also plays the trumpet and vocals for multiple bands in Dublin.

As a result of his experience to date he understands the importance of manual therapy and exercise prescription in combination to deliver the best treatment result. At PREP we ensure you get enough time to feel listened to and get a first class service.
